Fay Fairer Ever After High FC

Well, I made a Monster High character, I couldn't just not make one for Ever After High! I like all the clothes that the characters wear. They're pretty. And you all know that I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with fairy tales. 
So this character here that I came up with is Fay Fairer, daughter of Fairer-than-a-fairy who is of course from the French fairy tale "Fairer-than-a-fairy." I'm glad I found this one when I was looking up potential fairy tales to base a character on because in it, Fairer-than-a-fairy actually ends up saving the prince! It's awesome.

    Basically in the story, the king thinks that his daughter is prettier than any fairy, hence her name, but that insults the fairies so they kidnap her, but her pet cat and dog follow her to keep her company. (It already sounds like a Barbie or Disney movie. She's already got animal sidekicks!)  A bunch of stuff happens and she grows up, and then one day she's near a fountain and the mist is creating a rainbow and she hears a voice coming through that. The prince is trapped and can only speak to her through rainbows. They talk often and of course fall in love, but when she hears that the prince's prison will be moved, she sets out to save him. Eventually she finds him trapped inside a castle with no doors or windows suspended off the ground by chains, uses a magic gold pomegranate to transport herself inside and saves the prince of the rainbow kingdom and they live happily ever after. It's really cool. Plenty of other things happen too, including monsters and talking birds, but that's the gist of it. 

I tried to incorporate things from the story into Fay's design, such as fairies (which all look like the ones from Zelda), gold pomegranates and the suspended castle (her necklace) and of course a rainbow of colours. That was difficult. Being the daughter of a fairy girl and a rainbow prince does not give a lot of direction for a colour palette... Also because it is a French fairy tale, I tried to make the dress in the French style from back then. All of her jewelry is also made out of prisms that would create a rainbow, you know, just in case any princes should try to contact her... 

I'll have to try to come up with a profile like from the Ever After High site later, I'd imagine she'd be a royal rather than a rebel, she'd probably like the idea of getting to be the hero of her story, but in the meantime, I hope you like her!
